THE CHAIR of the House committee on foreign affairs yesterday warned that a US state legislator's suggestion that Muslim terrorists be shot with bullets dipped in pig's blood and buried with pig entrails could inflame passions in Mindanao.
Rep. Apolinario Lozada Jr. (Lakas, Negros Occ.) said the suggestion carried in fliers distributed by Sen. Guy Glodis (Dem., Mass.) to his colleagues might "reopen the wounds of war between (Filipino) Moros and American soldiers.''
"His action has placed the lives of American nationals, particularly the soldiers currently deployed in Mindanao, at risk,'' Lozada said in a statement.
