BACOLOD CITY-House Minority Leader Carlos Padilla has dared the administration to conduct drug tests on top ranking government officials and their children.

"If we want to have a drug-free label, we must start with the families of our top-ranking officials," said Padilla, a congressman of Nueva Viscaya.

He said there have been reports that children of some officials in the executive and legislative branches of government are using illegal drugs.

One of them, he added, is the son of a "very high-ranking official."

"We have to convince the people that it is not just them we are subjecting to the difficulty of drug tests," Padilla said.
