BANGALORE, June 26. THE Accelerated Power Development Reforms Programme (APDRP) task force set up by the Union Ministry of Power in collaboration with Indian Electric and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (IEEMA), has said that speedy implementation of projects under APDRP were critical in the context of power sector reforms.

For the year 2003-2004 only Rs 23 crore may be allocated to new projects. As on date, Rs 1,540 crore has been sanctioned for projects against which very few projects have taken off.
