DEFIANT members of the National Council have set today as 'D-Day' for their long-awaited final decision on the Constitution Amendment Bill.

The NC appears poised to reject the proposed constitutional changes after lawmakers concluded their debate on the report of a standing committee that solicited public input on the controversial Bill.

After Swapo chief whip Noah Tuhadeleni walked over to consult him, the Committee's Chairman, Karlos Shinohamba, reserved his response to comments made during the debate until today.
