Whenever I go to a wedding in Korea, I am always baffled by the behavior of the guests. After they present the customary gift money in a white envelop to the reception desk, they rush not to the wedding hall, but to the reception room to enjoy the buffet. All the while the wedding ceremony is still in progress. And for those who do not need to eat, the hallway serves a good place to chat. So the wedding hall quickly turns into a noisy place, like a street market.
