DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 24, 2003
Next August, 120 students from around the world will gather in Denver, Colorado, as the first class of Up with People's new WorldSmart(TM) Leadership Program. Students in the study abroad program will receive orientation here before being placed in a multi-national group for study in six countries on three continents.
The education-based program will launch 2004 with all students traveling to learning locations in the United States, Canada, Japan, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and Italy.
According to Jeff Hoag, chairman and chief executive officer of Up with People, WorldSmart(TM) is unique in the world.
"Our program is designed to develop young, emerging leaders. We teach them how to work effectively in other cultures and provide them with a global perspective," he said.
"Top graduate schools and employers today are looking for these unique skills as well as experiences that make a candidate stand out. We develop these skills and provide an unparalleled learning experience," Hoag said.
