Scholastic, the US publisher, and J.K. Rowling, the author of Harry Potter the best-selling children's series to which the company owns publishing rights, on Wednesday filied a lawsuit against The Daily News alleging the newspaper published unauthorised excerpts from the fifth Harry Potter instalment.
