Israel Discount Bank (TASE:DSCT) will post a net profit of NIS 73 million in 2003, compared with NIS 29 million in 2002, predicts Nessuah Zannex banking analyst Ronit Goodman. Discount Bank would have posted a record NIS 251 million profit, were it not for the NIS 178 million write-off on its stake in First International Bank of Israel (TASE:FTIN1; FTIN5).
Goodman retained her "Neutral" recommendation for Discount Bank in the survey, published today. However, she cautioned close monitoring of the bank in light of the Ministry of Finance's intention to privatize it and Bank Leumi (TASE:LUMI). …
