We have with us a declaration from the Alur community in Bunia concerning the massacre perpetrated by the Lendu in Nyoka in Mahagi Territory [eastern DRCongo].

The Alur community in Bunia followed with consternation the information relayed by Radio France International on Monday 16 June 2003, announcing the massacre of hundreds of people in Nyoka. The Alur community regrets that since the sparking off of the conflict in Ituri in June 1999, the Lendu have always killed the Alur population up to date without reason.
