The new Rs 1,000-crore terminal, which would cater to all east-bound trains, would help decongest the New Delhi railway station. The terminal would be modelled on the lines of the Vashi terminal at Navi Mumbai that has been executed by the Konkan Rail Corporation.

NEW DELHI, June 11. IN keeping with the Railways' stress on the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) route for executing new projects, the upcoming new terminal at Anand Vihar in east Delhi would be the first such facility to be built with equity participation from outside agencies.
