Zagreb, 11 June: Croatian President Stjepan Mesic said in a statement for the media on Wednesday [11 June] he had decided to propose to the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague to re-examine the indictment filed against fugitive General Ante Gotovina.
"Having once again carefully read General Ante Gotovina's interview in Nacional and gained other information shedding new light on the entire 'Gotovina case', I have decided to propose to the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia to re-examine the indictment against General Gotovina," read the statement.
