President George W. Bush and Prime Minister Tony Blair had a lengthy meeting at the Group of Eight summit to discuss Iraq and the Middle East peace plan.

The pair met for 75 minutes over breakfast in the French lakeside resort of Evian, where the G8 gathering is taking place, an official with Blair's delegation told AFP.

"They talked about the situation in Iraq, the Middle East peace plan as well as wider issues connected to G8," he said, adding that the get-together was "very good and very constructive".
