KARACHI, June 2 Asia Pulse - Pakistan exported goods worth US$79 million to Kenya in the first nine months of the current fiscal year.
Figures released by the Federal Bureau of Statistics showed a significant growth in Pakistan's exports to Africa during the current year.
Pakistan's High Commissioner to Kenya, Hameed Asghar Kidwai, while expressing his satisfaction over this performance said Pakistan's total exports to Kenya were US$52 million during the financial year 2001/02.
He hoped exports to Kenya would cross the psychological threshold of US$100 million at the end of fiscal 2002/03.
On a regional level, Pakistan exported goods worth US$85 million to countries like Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia and Eritrea during 2001/02, whereas ...
