LAHORE, June 2 Asia Pulse - Pakistan expects to receive an injection of US$15 billion once the country's telecommunications sector is deregulated.
However, this massive injection of foreign investment would not come soon because the government is yet to announce the telecoms deregulation policy.
This was stated by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) chairman Major General Shahzada Alam Malik (Retd.) while talking to a group of journalists on Friday.
Malik said the estimation of foreign investment in Pakistan's telecoms sector was made in a study conducted by Merrill Lynch.
