NEW DELHI, June 2 Asia Pulse - Exports of manmade staple fibres during April 2002-January 2003 rose 76.8 per cent at Rs 164,650 million (US$3.5 billion) over Rs 931.40 million during the same period in the previous year.
The high growth in the man-made PSF (Polyester Staple Fibre), VSF (Viscose Staple Fibre), PPSF (Polypropylene Staple Fible and ASF (Acrylic Staple Fible) has been achieved due to the export of these products to new markets including Malaysia, Portugal, Indonesia, the UK, Nigeria, France, Canada and Iraq, an official statement said.
