SEOUL, June 2 Asia Pulse - The Korea National Oil Corp., South Korea's state oil agency, said it has decided to import crude oil worth around US$500 million on behalf of SK Corp.
"The move is designed to help SK Corp. (KSE:03600), which is suffering difficulties in importing crude due to the financial woes of SK Global," the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy said.
The KNOC and SK Corp., South Korea's top oil refiner, are expected to sign a contract Monday.
The decision was made based on the judgment that disruptions in SK Corp. oil imports may destabilize the domestic market, the ministry said. ...
