Though Brandon Thomas is just 29 years old, his stout racing resume proves his experience far exceeds his years. After earning a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech, Thomas spent two years as a race engineer in Dan Gurney's CART series program. In 1999, Thomas made the jump to NASCAR Winston Cup racing, working as a race engineer with Rusty Wallace's team at Penske Racing South.
