I'm staring down at Yankees left fielder Hideki Matsui from the top of the Green Monster, thinking that I could swipe his cap with a fishing rod. Then again, it might be more fun to hit Matsui with a paper airplane. From the "Monster seats," the fabulous new additions to 91-year-old Fenway Park, I probably could nail Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter, too.

Oh, I never actually would engage in such misconduct, but sitting in baseball heaven triggers one's imagination. Until this season, home runs hit over the 37-foot left field wall landed in a 23-foot high screen rising above Lansdowne Street. Now those balls produce a scramble among the 280 fans who pay $50 a pop for the coolest seats--and hottest tickets--in baseball.
