A meeting with a group of experts from the Defence Threat Reduction Agency of the US Department of Defence and the [Lawrence] Livermore national laboratory, led by a deputy director of an office of the secretary of defence (Central Political Office), Mr R. Baldwin, has been held at the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan. officials from the US embassy in Uzbekistan also attended the meeting. The main aim of the US experts' visit to Uzbekistan was to discuss the US Department of State's initiative on the installation of additional portal monitors at key border checkpoint in Uzbekistan.
