KOLKATA, May 29 WITH a view to preparing for the conditional access system (CAS) regime, multi-system operator RPG Netcom Ltd has launched an analogue set-top box whose head-end encryption equipment is imported from Dalvi Technology Ltd of the UK.

Unveiling the product here on Thursday, the Chief Executive Officer of RPG Netcom Ltd, Mr Dilip Sen, said the set-top boxes were priced at Rs 2,800 each and would be retailed to subscribers through local cable operators. In the first phase, RPG Netcom would invest Rs 28 crore for one lakh set-top boxes, which are being procured from Catvision Products Ltd.
