2003 teacher enrichment grants awarded. (Foundation News).(Brief Article)
Twelve teachers received grants this year from the FOUNDATION. Ten thousand dollars was awarded to assist recipients in their continuing educational and professional development. This year's grants were awarded to Michelle Gutz-Kleng, advanced study in theory to qualify for MTNA Professional Certification; Michele Alspach, piano study: Rhonda Ringering, jazz piano study; Jennifer Teague-Porterfield, in-depth training in the Suzuki method for teaching violin and cello to young children; Christine Groth, piano study; Amy Greer, Dalcroze Eurhythmics workshop; Beth Owen, baroque performance institute; Charlotte Williams, piano study; Kim Bowman, courses to qualify for MTNA Professional Certification; Daniel Brugh, composition lessons; Carrie Koffman, commissioning of new work for saxophone and viola; and Rachel Shaftman, drumset study.
