THE INTRODUCTION of the seven million dollar Ghana Custom Management System (GCMS) and the Ghana TradeNet collectively called the GCNet system which has boosted the revenue mobilization and clearance procedures of Custom Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS) is currently on test at the Tema Harbour.

The commissioner of CEPS, Brig. R.E.Baiden, noted that since the inception of the system, revenue collection for Kotoka International Airport (KIA) showed a 33.97% and 32.64% growth during the first quarter for Import Duty and Import VAT …
