LITTLE has been heard of Charlene Rajendran since her last play, My Grandmother's Chicken Curry & ... and Mangosteen Crumble, an anthology of poems depicting the importance of one's identity. Both works were produced in 1998.

One of the more respected names in Malaysian theatre, Charlene has been keeping a low profile in the last five years. And no wonder. The writer/actor/director has been busy with her other profession - that of a lecturer - across the Causeway.
