Taipei, May 21, 2003 (CENS)--Wan Hai Lines Ltd., a main local shipping company listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, recently signed with state-run China Shipbuilding Corp. to order five container vessels each with a loading capacity of 4,250 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units)

With a fleet of 40 own ships and 18 ones on lease, Wan Hai operates regional shipment routes within Asia as well as oceangoing routes between Asia and the U.S. and the Middle East. In particular, Wan Hai offers the most Asian liners among all local shipping companies
