Professor Boersma follows up an earlier study of Richard Baxter's doctrine of justification--A Hot Pepper Corn (Zoetermeer, The Netherlands: Boekencentrum, 1993)--with this analysis of his views on infant baptism. The later work replicates the earlier one in its strengths and weaknesses. He draws in the main upon printed pamphlets, supplemented by the calendared Baxter correspondence, to focus upon one aspect of Baxter's thought.
