The market came under further selling pressure as investors took profit on big cap stocks in the banking, building, entertainment and energy sectors following their recent gains. The SET index slipped 2.22 points or 0.6% to 383.00 on moderate volume of Bt6.2bn.

SCC, the second most active stock, extended its slide with a loss of Bt2 or 1.8% to Bt112. SCCC, meanwhile, shed Bt6 or 3% to Bt194.

TPI, the most actively traded issue, rose 6.7% during the morning session but saw its gains trimmed to 1.9% to Bt5.30 at the close. The stock suffered profit-taking after creditors declined to hand over a list of candidates to form a …
