CALIFORNIA
Irvine-Marc A. Farfel has joined Option One Mortgage Corp., a subsidiary of H&R Block, as vice president and director of real estate. In this role, he will be a member of the servicing unit's senior management team, with responsibility for Option One's disposition of owned real estate.
Since 1993, Mr. Farfel had served in a variety of owned real estate positions at Countrywide Home Loans in Simi Valley, Calif. Most recently, he was first vice president and director of national sales.
DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
Washington-The Department of Housing and Urban Development announced Stillman D. Knight Jr. as HUD's new deputy assistant secretary for multifamily in the office of Federal Housing Administration.
Mr. Knight, formerly chairman of the board and chief executive officer of The Knight Co., has been recognized as the National Council of Multi Housing Industry's Builder-Developer of the Year in 1986 and served as chairman of this organization in 1989.
