Abstract

The purpose of the Teacher Network Project was to train classroom teachers with limited computer skills to use instructional telecommunications technology. Although most recent graduates from teacher education programs have had opportunities to learn about and practice using a wide variety of technologies, many veteran teachers began their careers prior to the widespread use of computers in instruction. The Teacher Network Project was able to train approximately one percent of Nebraska's 22,000 teachers in the use of instructional technology.
