Since the Persian Gulf War, the world economic situation has been vulnerable to the possibility of an economic downturn. In the April issue of Business Credit, we reported how this has affected Japan and discussed sales and income projections for Japan in 2003. In addition, we indicated how the Japanese government's plan (IRC) might affect small and medium-size companies, and included an overview of how this has affected bankruptcy in Japan over the last few years.
