Commercial trade credit is a thriving field that has spawned plenty of vendors who make good money building and selling tools that are designed specifically for the trade credit manager.

That's the tip of the iceberg. A much larger, less visible array of products and services may never be presented to the credit manager. They are generic business and communication tools that don't target credit but can be extremely useful to credit pros who figure out what they're good for and how to put them to work. Call them peripherals.
