The hiring of accounting and finance professionals is expected to increase modestly in the second quarter of 2003, according to the Robert Half International Financial Hiring Index. Nine percent of chief financial officers (CFOs) surveyed plan to expand their accounting and finance departments. CFOs planning to hire additional accounting and finance professionals in the coming quarter were asked to identify the primary factor driving the demand.
