Ever since The Vagina Monologues first played in New York City in 1996, it has brought controversy.
By now hundreds of college and university campuses have hosted productions of the play, bringing awareness of and sensitivity to women's needs--and sometimes a lot of criticism to the campus.
Four women shared their experiences in producing the show on their campus, offering tips in overcoming obstacles for those contemplating it. They spoke at the conference of National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) in St. Louis in March.
