Four top officers at the Air Force Academy will be ousted after it became public that at least 56 female cadets reported being raped and then retaliated against there. At least two of their replacements will be women.

After the scandal became public, many U.S. Senators called for investigations. Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) said the changes show progress, but more needs to be done: "It has to be a change in values from top to bottom."

A sign of change, workers removed a huge sign above a ramp where cadets formed to march. In letters at least five feet high, the slogan read, "Bring Me Men," which critics said symbolized the academy's male-dominated culture. Women make up about 16% of the academy's student body.
