PRAGUE, May 1 (CTK) - "We will respect any decision but we will be extremely glad if it is positive," European Commission Delegation head Ramiro Cibrian said today at a Social Democrat (CSSD) meeting marking Labour Day, referring to the June referendum on the Czech Republic's entry to the European Union.

He assured the participants, the number of which was between 600 and 2,000 according to the Social Democrats, that the Czech Republic would gain many advantages with entry to the EU and would be able to make decisions on everything, along with other countries.

CSSD politicians also stressed the advantages of EU membership in their speeches.

Deputy Karel Splichal assured the participants that laws are valid in the EU ...
