PRAGUE, May 1 (CTK) - The Communist Party' (KSCM) celebrations marking Labour Day, which took place at Prague's Letna plain, were hampered by several youths who threw eggs at the participants but who were caught shortly after this by the horse mounted police.
The incident occurred during a speech by KSCM deputy chairman Vaclav Exner who condemned high unemployment and the war in Iraq, addressing a crown of several thousand people.
Exner did not recommend that supporters of the KSCM vote for the Czech Republic's entry to the European Union in the June referendum.
The young men who threw eggs at the participants were not the only people who came to express their disagreement with the Communist Party. A group of people unveiled several anti- communist slogans including one bearing the inscription "Beware, they have blood on their hands!"
According to the police, some 6,000 to 7,000 people came to Letna. There were representatives of the embassies of North Korea and Cuba among the participants.
