Lawmakers in Congress introduced legislation that would allow Holocaust survivors and their families to collect on on World War II-era insurance policies.
"I am fed up watching insurance companies thumb their noses at Holocaust survivors," said Representative Mark Foley, one of the authors of the legislation.
"The time for talking is over. It's time Congress rights this horrible wrong," the Florida Republican said.
The US Supreme Court heard oral arguments last week about whether states have the right to require foreign-based insurance companies provide them information on Holocaust-era accounts.
