C Chad Moeller has taken advantage of the absence of C Rod Barajas (hamstring), making a case for becoming an everyday player. In a stretch starting April 7, Moeller hit 17-for-53 (.321). Barajas could be activated before the end of the month.... The club might call up SS Alex Cintron from Class AAA Tucson. Cintron has the best batting average in the minors (.436), and the Diamondbacks are last in the N.L. in runs scored.
