TOKYO, May 1 Asia Pulse - Consumer electronics retailer Deodeo Corp. plans to launch a high-speed Internet service via wireless LAN (local area network) that would cover 90 per cent of the city of Okayama within the year.
Wireless-LAN-based Internet services are now offered mainly within limited spaces, such as inside restaurants. Deodeo's service will be the first in Japan for a wide region, such as an entire city.
