BRISBANE, April 30 Asia Pulse - Bakery chain Brumby's Bakeries Holdings Ltd today booked a record half-year profit but shelved plans to list on the Australian Stock Exchange.

The Brisbane-based chain today announced an 18 per cent increase in pre-tax profit to A$988,000 (US$610,000) for the six months to December 31, 2002.
