Kimberly Shaumburt, a teacher at Bay Minette Middle School near Mobile, Alabama, was writing an assignment on her classroom blackboard when two students seized her by the arms. One of them reportedly cut her on the right arm with a butcher knife, and then they "took off running because they knew the building was fixing to be flooded with students and teachers," Schaumburt told the March 19th Mobile Register. She had earlier scolded one of the attackers, a seventh-grader, for writing on the wall during an earlier class break; apparently the attack was meant as payback for "dissing" the young miscreant.
