Even as hundreds of thousands of U.S. and allied troops fight a major war in Iraq, "an 11,500-strong multinational coalition remains deeply engaged" in Afghanistan, observed a March 27th AP report. "The troops face challenges that a postwar force also may meet in Iraq--hunting residual enemy forces while bringing aid to the people."
