Finance, Credit and International Business (FCIB) has tailored a professional designation, the Certified International Credit Executive (CICE) designation, to elevate international professional standards and signify those who demonstrate a knowledge and experience essential to the international credit management profession. Since the CICEs inception in 1999, FCIB has awarded the certification to international credit professionals from across the globe, including England, The Netherlands, China and the United States.
FCIB is proud to announce the Certified International Credit Executives awarded the designation in the last three months. Mr. Colin Hingston of Instron Ltd. in England earned the designation in December 2002. Mr. Arnold Geelboed of Akzo Nobel Chemicals B. V. in The Netherlands and Mr. Charles W. Chan of Vinaconsult (HK) Limited in Hong Kong both achieved the CICE in January 2003. These gentlemen each presented a research paper on an international credit or finance-related topic that was rigorously reviewed by the FCIB-CICE Committee.
A CICE research paper must present a new or innovative topic or perspective while displaying a candidate's knowledge of the international credit profession. Recent CICE recipient, Arnold Geelhoed, prepared his research paper on the developments regarding the integration of Credit Management, Credit Information and Market Research Tools into ERP systems in an international environment while Paul McIntosh's 2001 paper discussed Selected Legal Aspects of International Sales Transactions.
