Britain's most famous fertility symbol was yesterday facing competition from the work of West pranksters.
The Cerne Giant on the hill at Cerne Abbas, Dorset, has been recreated on sloping farmland in the Forest of Dean.
But the new 75ft naked figure at English Bicknor has been given a Forest of Dean twist in the shape a pair of wellies, an ear of corn hanging from its mouth and a tankard of ale in its hand.
Although it doesn't quite measure up to its 180ft centuries-old cousin, its creators say they are more than happy with their labour for the April Fool's joke.
