Jamie McMurray's backup Busch car at Las Vegas was a sight to behold. Pulled out of the hauler after the main car was wrecked in practice, the backup was covered in signatures. The car had been headed for the show circuit, and somebody somewhere thought it was a good idea for 1,000 employees of the main sponsor, Yellow Transportation, to sign it.
McMurray had never driven the car before the race. There's no way he could have--the seat was built for Jimmy Spencer, who at 6-0 and 230 pounds outsizes McMurray by inches and 80 pounds. McMurray would've looked like Mini-Me in that thing.
The backup car also had a different manufacturer than the original car ...
