There's an awful lot not to like about Matt Doherty getting quick-canned. The players and their parents whined that he, get this, got mad and worked the kids too hard in practice--and the administration listened. (The parents' next target: dorm cafeterias that serve dessert before dinner.) A.D. Dick Baddour also showed that not only is he a Heel, he has a vision that's as clear as tar. But remember that Doherty was a Wall Street guy before getting into coaching, so he's familiar with a bottom-line profession and should be held accountable for a Chapel Hill portfolio that can be summed up thusly: Carolina blew.

Since the Houston Astros don't have any World Series flags to fly, they had to get a little more creative in finding ways to honor their tradition. So the franchise constructed several statues outside its home park, including ones of Jeff Bagwell and Craig Biggio. What's weird, though, is that on opening day, there also was a Biggio statue located in center field.
