Pianist Mulgrew Miller has appeared a sideman on many jazz recordings, but here he steps into the limelight leading a group that comprises Steve Nelson on vibes, Steve Wilson on alto and soprano sax, Duane Eubanks on trumpet, Richie Goods on bass, and Karriem Riggins on drums. In addition, eight of the ten compositions are by Miller, so this really is a showcase recording for this veteran jazzman.
