What delightful memories this piece evokes! A former duet partner and I performed this selection in a recital at our school several years ago. Ain't Misbehavin' arranged by Don Heitler and Jim Lyke, is sure to be an audience pleaser no matter where or by whom it is played. Two copies of the full score are included.
The overall design of this duet in E-flat major is similar to that of Alexander's Ragtime Band, with Piano I performing the melody and Piano II accompanying. Approximately halfway through the piece is a one-measure transition in which the parts exchange places and the key changes to F major. The flip-flopped portion lasts until the conclusion of the two-measure coda.
