The East Central Division (ECD) welcomes two new state presidents, Brenda Conroy, NCTM, in Illinois and Marilyn Sluka in Michigan. They both are energetic and experienced with auditions and competitions and willing to participate at the ECD competitions.
It was a privilege to speak with the piano pedagogy students at Michigan Stare University. Their eagerness and enthusiasm to learn about Michigan's state certification and MTNA Certification was gratifying. This would be a fine program to institute nationwide, as the pedagogy students are MTNA's future members and leaders.
