Hong Kong, China ire as world isolates them in bid to halt SARS spread.

China and Hong Kong reported more deaths from a killer pneumonia as governments worldwide adopted increasingly desperate measures to try to prevent the spread of the disease.

As the worldwide death toll from Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome reached 112 with two more SARS deaths in China and four more in Hong Kong, Beijing and Hong Kong began to fight back against their growing international isolation.

Beijing's newly appointed mayor Meng Xuenong urged foreign investors and tourists to continue coming and insisted the Chinese authorities have "full control over atypical pneumonia."
