Dozens of children donned their costumes Sunday for an early run at trick-or-treating in Venice.
The Italian American Club of Venice offered area children a Spooktacular Children's Halloween Party at its club at 1375 Ringling Drive in Venice.
Along with tricks and treats were games and contests. Evelyn Tarricone practiced her hand at face painting, while Jerry Merando made balloon animals for the children.
Children munched on hot dogs and snacks while sizing up the competition for the best costume contest.
